Image processing is therefore an essential skill that all photographers should master, however is often overlooked by new underwater photographers leading to basic mistakes being made and the subsequent output of inferior quality images. To address this Dive4Photos offers a 1-day Lightroom Image Processing Course held in their private air-condition classroom, to show you how to edit your photos the right way. The course is broken into two section. First you will cover the basics of Adobe Lightroom CC, Digital Asset Management whilst working within the Library Module, followed by basic image processing within the Develop Module.

All digital photographs require some amount of post-processing to make them look their best. In our Lightroom Image Processing Course you will be working with Adobe Lightroom, the industry standard program specifically aimed at photographers, which cuts out a lot of the confusing elements and unnecessary tools that make using Photoshop a daunting prospect for the budding new photographer. This is not to say that Photoshop is not a good editing program, it is in fact much more powerful than Lightroom if you are experienced in it’s functions. But Lightroom simply gives you the tools required to correctly edit your images and leaves out the technical tools for graphic designers, etc., that you do not need. This means you will be proficient in editing images in Lightroom in a much shorter time frame. You will learn how to process your images the right way, retaining the authenticity of the photograph. It is very easy and quite common for persons inexperienced in editing to go just that little bit too far with post processing, so their images do not truly represent the subject. The most commonly encountered example is unsightly purple-hued water which occurs when white balance or levels have been incorrectly set. Alex will show you how to avoid the common mistakes, so your photographs look their best when showing them off to family & friends.
