The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox (EANx) gives you more no-decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. As underwater photographers our time underwater is precious, so having the ability to spend more time shooting is a big advantage. Why Choose the PADI Digital Underwater Photography Course?

The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course (also known as Nitrox Course) is aimed at any diver wishing to extend their bottom times. For photographers and videographers this is an essential course, but is especially useful for those documenting marine life behaviour when extended shooting durations on subjects is required. The course is conducted over 1-day and consists of 2-training dives.

During the course you will learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations, discuss managing oxygen exposure and calculating maximum depth limits for the desired blend, correctly setting your dive computer into Nitrox Mode, as well as using the dive plan function. During the practical session you will learn how to analysing oxygen content in your scuba tank.

Completion of this course will allow you to independently dive in a safe manner using mixes of enriched air nitrox up to 40%. This is a theory based course, taking approx. half-a-day to complete, with the option of adding in two training dives in the afternoon.
