Photo-Buoyancy Course

Buoyancy control is an essential skill for underwater photographers and possessing excellent in-water control will see a noticeable improvement in your photos. You will cover the theory of buoyancy control and trim of the camera system in the morning before going out on 2-dives in the afternoon to practice these essential skills. Dive-1 will be completed without a camera to ensure you are not distracted so we can fine tune your buoyancy skills and finning techniques. First we will work out your precise weighting requirements and then concentrate on your general buoyancy control by completing different exercises. On Dive-2 we will repeat the skills covered on the first dive, but this time bringing the camera into the equation. This course is conducted on a 1:1 basis (except for specific requests) so Alex can provide personal tuition to ensure your buoyancy control vastly improves.

Why Choose the PADI Digital Underwater Photography Course?

If you do not posses excellent buoyancy control you will always struggle to obtain quality underwater images. The precision control required for underwater photography is far in excess of that needed for a normal dive and the only way to perfect this skill is to practice. Having the most advanced (and expensive) camera system available doesn't help to get good photos if you cannot control yourself when using it. Simply put, without mastering buoyancy control you will be holding your photography skills back and will never realise your full potential as an underwater photographer.

If you would like to earn the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy certification for this course, an additional charge of 2,500 THB will be made for the PADI manual and certification fee .
